Welcome to the 2016 Greater Suffern Chamber of Commerce!
I’m once again very honored for being elected President. 2015 was a tremendous year for our Chamber. What began with a simple Social Media launch escalated to a growing networking administration working together towards re-branding Suffern. And now we’re excited to continue our efforts in moving forward and upward in 2016!
A few of the programs we had in place for 2015 and what to expect in 2016:
As part of the Chamber Membership, Ads were created using elements from websites and/or Facebook pages. These were approved by each business for use by both the Chamber and Business Owner for website and Social Media use and print.
For 2016, a new Facebook Chamber Business Directory will be launched along with a campaign highlighting specific categories such as “Home & Garden”. Graphic design services will be also be available along with social media 101 and services.
The Chamber recruited a videographer associated with Rockland County Tourism to create our 2015 commercial. The Chamber then introduced the 10-second spot for members interested in spotlighting their business. The videos circulated through television and digital advertising.
For 2016, a new personalized expanded program of various lengths will be in place and once again will circulate through television and digital advertising.
An Events Calendar called Suffern Happenings was introduced and sent through social media weekly indicating events and and a list of restaurants.
For 2016, a revised version will be launched. This new Events Calendar will eventually be linked with Rockland County’s “Explore Rockland” program.
In recognizing a disconnect between Suffern entities, the Chamber began meeting with groups all striving for the same goal. We’ll continue working towards a more unified and collaborative effort between the Village government and others such as Suffern Rotary, Suffern Jr Women’s Club as well as smaller committees.
There is still much more in the works. And with your Membership participation, our enriched agenda will help revitalize Suffern businesses and the community as a whole. If you’d like to learn more, we’d be happy to make time to meet. Email us at email@example.com.
Thank you and sincerely,
Aurelius Licata, President
