Suffern Poetry featuring Emmanuel Jean-Pierre!
Suffern Village Hall Upstairs Community Room, Suffern NY
Our monthly poetry open mic happens in Suffern the 3rd Saturday of each month. We are in the community room of the top floor of Suffern Village Hall at 61 Washington Avenue. There is ample free parking behind SVH, and behind and next to the Lafayette Theater. The venue is a 5-minute walk from the Suffern Train Station, which is a stop on the Main/Bergen/Port Jervis lines from Secaucus.
Anyone that wants to can come and sign up to read up to 5 minutes of original poetry.
Doors/sign-ups at 6:30 PM. Poetry starts at 7:03 or so.
$5 recommended donation at the door.

This month, we are featuring the March poetry slam winner, Emmanuel Jean-Pierre.
Emmanuel Jean-Pierre is a Haitian-American writer originally from Orange, New Jersey. He writes spoken word and poetry, but his specialty is sci-fi and fantasy novels. He has self-published “The Book of Elyon”, a fantasy book about children with powers and is currently working as the Creative Arts Coordinator at Nyack College. When he’s not writing, he loves to watch movies, do random things with friends, and do parkour.
