Controlling the look of your photography is powerful. Join Susan Magnano on this photo walk in Lower Manhattan where you'll learn the basics of how shutter speed and aperture allow you to take control of your camera and the final look of a photograph.
You’ll learn how to create unique images by exploring different shutter speeds and apertures – turning your IDEA of a great photo into REALITY.
Susan will show the relationship between shutter speed and aperture and how to quickly adjust them on your camera. Then, learn how to convey movement in a still image by a using techniques like dragging the shutter, zooming and panning with your subject. Finally, Susan will explain apertures, so you have a deeper understanding of how much of the image is actually in focus otherwise known as depth of field.
With these tools and techniques at the ready to use right away, you’ll begin to expand your creativity and capture amazing photographs – whatever your skill level!
